NueCtrl ("we", "our", or "us") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and safeguard your information when you use our MIDI controller application.
Information We Collect
NueCtrl is designed with privacy in mind. We collect minimal data necessary to provide our service:
- Device Motion Data: Processed locally on your device to control MIDI parameters. This data is never transmitted or stored.
- MIDI Configuration: Your fader settings and presets are stored locally on your device.
- Purchase Information: Handled securely by Apple through the App Store. We do not have access to your payment details.
Data Storage
All your configuration data, presets, and settings are stored locally on your device. The app sends nothing to servers we operate; the only data we hold about you is website feedback you choose to submit, which we delete on request to support@nuectrl.com.
Third-Party Services
NueCtrl may integrate with:
- Apple App Store: For app distribution and in-app purchases
- Bluetooth/Network MIDI: For connecting to your DAW (data transmitted locally on your network)
Your Rights
The NueCtrl app itself stores nothing about you on our servers — all app data remains on your device under your control. The one exception is feedback you choose to send through the form on this website: your message, its category and, optionally, your email address, which we store in Google Firebase Firestore. To access, correct or delete it, email support@nuectrl.com and we will action it promptly.
Children's Privacy
NueCtrl does not knowingly collect information from children under 13. Our app is intended for musicians and audio professionals.
MIDI Data
NueCtrl is a MIDI controller application. We want to be clear about how we handle MIDI-related data:
- Real-time Processing Only: MIDI control change (CC) messages are generated and transmitted in real-time to your connected DAW.
- No Recording or Storage: NueCtrl does not record, store, or log any MIDI data.
- Local Transmission: All MIDI data is transmitted locally via Bluetooth, WiFi, or USB — never to external servers.
Data Retention
All configuration data (presets, fader settings, themes) is stored locally on your device using iOS standard storage mechanisms. This data persists until you delete the app or manually reset settings within the app. We have no access to this data.
International Data Rights
Regardless of your location, you have full control over your data because:
- The NueCtrl app does not collect personal data on external servers
- All app data remains on your device
- Deleting the app removes all associated data
For users in the European Union (GDPR) or California (CCPA), this means your rights to access, correct, delete, and port your data are inherently satisfied by our privacy-first design. The one exception is feedback you choose to send through this website — see Feedback Collection — which we store and handle on request at support@nuectrl.com.
Analytics
With your consent, NueCtrl uses the following analytics services to understand how our website is used and improve your experience:
- Google Analytics 4: We use Google Analytics to analyze website traffic, user
behavior, and marketing campaign effectiveness. This includes:
- Page views and navigation paths
- Traffic sources (e.g., YouTube, social media, search engines)
- Marketing campaign performance (UTM parameters)
- Device type, browser, and general location (country/city level)
- Aggregated user demographics and interests (when available)
- Vercel Analytics: Anonymous page view data to monitor website performance
What data is collected:
- Anonymous identifiers (cookies) to recognize returning visitors
- URLs visited and time spent on pages
- Referral sources and campaign tracking codes (UTM parameters from YouTube videos, ads, etc.)
- Technical information: browser type, device type, screen resolution, operating system
- General geographic location (country and city, not precise location)
How we use this data:
- Understand which content and features are most valuable to users
- Measure the effectiveness of our marketing campaigns (e.g., YouTube videos, social media posts)
- Improve website performance and user experience
- Identify technical issues and optimize page load times
Data retention: Google Analytics data is automatically deleted after 14 months. Vercel Analytics retains anonymized data according to Vercel's own policy.
Your choices:
- You can withdraw consent at any time by clearing this site's local storage (site data) in your browser settings and declining the cookie consent banner on your next visit
- Install the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on to prevent Google Analytics from tracking you across all websites
- Use your browser's privacy settings to block third-party cookies
Third-party processors: Google LLC (Google Analytics), Vercel Inc. (website hosting and Vercel Analytics), and Google Firebase / Firestore (storage of feedback you submit). They process data according to their privacy policies: Google Privacy Policy | Vercel Privacy Policy
All analytics are completely blocked until you provide explicit consent through the cookie consent banner. No tracking occurs for visitors who decline or do not interact with the banner.
Feedback Collection
When you submit feedback through our website, we may collect:
- Your feedback message and category: To understand your suggestions or issues
- Your email address: Optional, only if you choose to provide it for follow-up
- Page URL and browser information: For debugging and context — attached only if you have accepted analytics cookies
We use this information solely to improve NueCtrl and may contact you regarding your feedback if you provided an email address. Feedback data is stored in Google Firebase Firestore with write-only access rules to protect your information: the browser can submit feedback but cannot read it back. We keep each submission until we have acted on it, and will delete it sooner on request at support@nuectrl.com.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new Privacy Policy on this page and updating the "Last updated" date.
